Tipping

Hi All,

I am a new shopper and have been offered a few dining shops. Some of the offers state that a tip, up to a certain amount, will be reimbursed. Others, in the job description, do not mention tips at all. Some state a reimbursement will be made up to $40 without specifying if that $40 includes food and tip.

What is your experience? Thanks

I did one that was up to $40. My bill was $27 and I left a $7 tip. They didn't reimburse all the tip because when I input the tip, it said they do not reimburse over 20% for tips. So, my shop cost me about $1.50. Now I know not to go over 20% tip for Bestmark. Just check with the MSC first.

Unless they shop states you have to tip a certain amount, maybe to not stand out, I tip based on my own standards. If I want to over tip, I over tip. The tip is for the server, my MS payment does not affect the amount.

As for your specific question, Diana gave some good advice. Read your guides for each and every shop, never assume anything.

Yep. Never assume. You are so right there.

Last night I did a restaurant shop and left 15% tip. The guidelines said to do that and I did.
