Shopping Schools?

Has anyone every shopped a school? I see one where you call the school and set up a visit and tour for the school and pretend you have a child coming next year. I have never done one of these and curious your experiences with these types? They pay is rather nice.

I have shopped colleges, GMAT testing centers, and tutoring services, but never preschools. They pay is usually decent for these, but for the first and third, required narrative commensurate with the pay and the amount of time required on site to do the shop.

No one else do a elementary school? There are quiet a few in my area and pay is 35.00 each
Haven't seen them here. But, maybe I'm not looking in the right placesmiling smiley Here, students are assigned to a school by virtue of their home address, so it's not likely to be shopped.
This shop you are suppose to arrange a tour of the school and pretend you have a child that will be attending next year.
The shop may well be being done by your school district. Surprised my school district doesn't do that as a way to waste more money so they can cut programming deeper.

Driver's ed cut, last year. Three 18 year old students have been killed in the last two weeks. Two separate accidents, 17 year old drivers at fault.

Sports flourish. Paid coaches abound.

$35 is very good pay, Petra. Have you completed an elementary school shop?
No I have not I was not sure what all it entailed so I was asking to see if anyone can share there experience doing a elementary school shop. I just signed up for one and am gonna try it and see how it goes.
Good luck with it. Are you in the age range that checking out elementary schools makes sense? I know that I did visit the several schools my kids would be eligible before I decided where to have them go. These days I would have to be checking around for 'grandkids'. smiling smiley
Are they private or public? The ones I have done were always private.

'academy' generally denotes private, but in some areas with public education funds going out as school vouchers, many of these yahoos are publicly funded 'private' schools.
