Jobslinger

Hello. I am new to mystery shopping and I just heard about Jobslinger. I registered and searched for shops within my area, and it shows me several.. However, I am unsure how to apply to them. When I click on the title, it takes me to MSPA and shows me the listing, but no option to apply. Please help.

After clicking on the title, you'll see the job listing details. Within those details, the name of the MSP is given, which is the company you'll need to sign with. After the MSP accepts your application, you will then be able to apply for their shops.
One thing I really dislike with that (and I guess it is the same with most sites like that) half of what is listed is already taken by the time you get to the company offering that job.
Yes, it can be true that some are already gone. But it allows you to see who is posting what for your area, sign up with the MSC, and (hopefully) get an email next time they post the job, so you have a better shot at it...

If only half the jobs are already taken you are in great shape! Mostly I find Jobslinger is a good resource to see who currently is shopping in your area. Those are the companies to sign up with or put back into your 'check daily' group of companies as client contracts are rarely for a single round of shops. Expanding your radius in Jobslinger, take a look at more distant clients. If AnnaBanana is shopped 50 miles away and you have two of them in your town, chances are the same company is shopping them in your town, so sign up and watch for them.
True, good point. There can just tend to be very little in my area so it is disappointing to see something on there that says it was just listed that morning, you go to the site and it is already gone.

THAT's why you want to get signed up with them...so you can get the notice as soon as the job goes up, apply and get in there at the top of the list! :-)

Don't wait for emails, either. Note what days of the month the shops you want post on JobSlinger, or get emailed to you, and check that board the day before, or early morning on that day next month.
Another one of those good uses of a shop calendar or shop sheet. If you missed something posted today that is normally a monthly job, mark on your calendar to check again on Oct 24 (and also note it was posted the last Thursday of the month. Best bet is to check starting the Wednesday before the last Thursday of the month. While some companies are more methodical than others about when they post, the notes on your daily schedule of what and when to be watchful helps a lot.
