Re: Trailer Shops

I saw a reference to "Trailer Shops". Can someone tell me what they are referring to.

These are a type of movie shop where you go early, count people in the theater, write down the name of the trailers that play before the movie and rate the audience reaction to the trailers, sometimes by gender. You may or may not have to front payment to the movie, and you may or may not get to stay for the movie. This depends on the MSC and the movie theatre management, to some extent.

And the requirements vary from company to company. I used to do ones here that were basically a mystery shop of customer service and facility cleanliness in addition to naming the trailers. It was a nice gig as they reimbursed box office for 2, snack at the concession stand and paid a small fee. I have not found who is shopping the client these days.
