New UK Member

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum. I am thinking of signing up with a couple of mystery shopper companies and just wondered if there were any/many UK members. The companies i am considering joining are: Retail eyes and Grass Roots. Has anybody heard of them and are they legit companies. They are both asking for my bank account details which i am a little wary of given them. Any advice would be greatly recieved.

Membership is free. Simply choose your username, type in your email address, and choose a password. You immediately get full access to the forum.

I've never heard of Grass Roots, though it may be a UK or European company. Retail Eyes I am signed up with but never seen any work in my area.

Generally the companies we work with here in the US want us to provide a Paypal address for payment or they may offer direct deposit to send the payments directly to our bank. For us the more concerning issue is our Social Security Number, which is used in all of our financial and tax accounts so could pose a real threat of Identity Theft if the information fell into the wrong hands.

There are mystery shopping forums of UK shoppers. You can use google to find them. It may be a more productive route for you to determine what the legitimate companies are on your side of the pond. But of course you are welcome to hang out here as well

Certainly we share some companies in common . . . Gapbuster International and Bare International to name just two. And I suspect methodologies don't change much, though we use a somewhat different vocabulary gas/petrol, miles/kilometers etc.

I have done work for 3 European MSC's, but all were contracted through American companies then reported on the European systems. The Euro. co's are ISC, Topo Marketing group, and one that I cannot recall as it has been a few months.
