FICA Score Credit check will this affect me?

I have a company that wants me to provide my FICA score which is excellent through www.creditkarma.com
to prove my score is good. Fine that is easy but they also want to know about my lenders and that is fine, however they want to run a Credit check. Will this effect my FICA Score I work hard to keep it excellent.

A credit check here and there won't affect your score. A bunch of credit checks (except in the case of loan shopping) will cause a dip for a period of time.

Xzodx, my concern is in a different direction. I do know that there are some companies that want to do a background check including a credit check. I also know of several situations where it is critical to have a credit score above or below a particular level to do specific shops. I am a little concerned about a request for your lenders. That seems like a little too much information. I can't tell from your posts on this forum whether you are a new shopper or not, so please make sure you are working with a legitimate company.
Flash thank you yes. I am new. I found them on Kathy stucker site. They are registered. It seems there are a number of requests with chase bank that lays high dollars, for evaluating the sign up and approval process for visa,s and home loans. The information they asked was just FICA score so far and lender name

I haven't visited that site in many years. If the company was provided by Kathy (not an ad on the side of the page or some person's comment) you should indeed be dealing with a legit company. If you have a Discover credit card, they are even putting your FICO score on your statement each month, so it is no longer the deep, for pay only, mystery it once was.

Here is another thought for you. If you have a fairly decent FICO score you can on your own (i.e. not as a shop) open a Visa card through Chase. Within a few months they will send you solicitations to open a checking account with them. At first the offers were that they would pay $200 after my account had been opened for I think it was 6 months. They now are up to $400. The cash payment comes at the end of the time period and is taxable as interest. I have not done it because when I looked, the banking fees seemed to eat up the whole thing.

Of course any bank account you open as a shop would have the same fees as one opened personally.

My Discover card and my Chase Freedom Visa have become my main credit cards. The Visa, for example, is paying 5% cash back on restaurants this quarter. That is pretty sweet since I generally spend $200-300 per month on restaurant shops that are reimbursed.
Xzodx,

Regarding your question, AndrewTX has answered it correctly and also correctly provided a link to a site that helps answer your question.

May I suggest you follow up with that site or another to learn the factors that impact your credit score to better manage your activities? Personally, I use another site, but I'm not here to advertise for it. Anyone may PM me for that information.

myfico is the ONLY real credit score. They created the standard that the financial industry uses and their formula is not disclosed. There are many other sites that will sell you a credit score, but it is not the real score. It's their formula that they have created in an attempt to mimic the true FICO score. It's good for seeing trends in your credit score, but they can sometimes be off as high as 50 points from a true FICO score.

Be careful opening these types of accounts. You have to follow all of the instructions in order to get the $200. The are certain amounts you have to charge, time limits, and fees. Not worth it unless you are truly using their card and can charge by their rules. To many rules for me.
