Businesses that companies represent

Is there a list or way to find out what businesses that mystery shopping companies represent? I'd like to do shops for specific businesses but don't want to apply to 100 shopping companies to try and find out who they represent.
thanks!

mawlucas,
Becasue we all have signed ICAs (Independent Contractor Agreements) with each company, we are prohibited from saying, either publicly or privately, which MSC represents which client. What you can do is search the forum by industry, say, "hotels" for instance and see which companies seem to specialize in hotel shops. That way if you want to just shop Motel 6, at least you have a smaller number of MSCs to explore in hopes of finding those shops.

Also, a great many compmnies are either not shopped at all, or have differenct MSCs in different regional.

Unfortunately you do have to register with a lot of companies to find out who they represent.
When I want to find a particular company I just google it. Who mystery shops for xyz company? Sometime you find it sometimes you don't.
It's really funny how many people ask a question but never log in again to see what the answer might be. Why bother?
How can you tell they didn't log in to see the answer? All you really know is, they didn't bother to respond to the answer. Isn't it? Or is there some way to tell when/if a poster logs in and what they looked at? I'm not trying to be a smart ass, just wondering. I just figure they didn't like the answer, so they didn't respond.

And about Googling to find out who mystery shops Company X... I don't think I've ever gotten that to work. I see it suggested all the time, but always come up with nothing when I try it. Am I not phrasing my inquiry correctly, perhaps?

You click on their name and in their profile it shows you the date and time of the poster's last activity. She never came back and saw the answers after making the post.

I've also never gotten much Googling to find a MSC name for a particular client. Sometimes I've found one but it's usually outdated information.

I am not aware of how anyone knows when you login , however you can easily see no replies. It could be like mentioned that they don't like the answers they get.
I know I was searching for specific information when I found this forum. I just took the route of signing up with multiple companies as I knew you could not ask about certain things.
There is also a possibility that a company person could ask the question if they are concerned about clients. Kind of like fishing for answers to see if anyone violates an agreement . I am not saying that is the case with anyone but is certainly a possibility with the amount of times I have seen that question asked here with no replies.
In any case I will never, ever, tell anyone anything specific about companies and clients. I have found quality companies on my own and value the companies I have a contract with.
