do i need my ssn to start?

i have been laid off from my job of 10 years now and i am collecting unemployment do i have to give my social security number to start, even like ms diners and resturants? thanks a million- luke b

It depends on the company whether you need to give it up front or later. Be careful about MS'ing while getting unemployment benefits. I used to bunch all of my shopping into one day so I didn't have to declare each day and lose that week's worth of benefit days.

I'll say this for the record, absolutely EVERY company that asks you for money to get you some shops is in it to fill their own pockets, not because they're so altruistic and want to fill yours. There's a new one on the horizon that tells you it's an "investment in yourself" because they claim to let you have access to shops mere mortals don't get near. That's unmitigated bullcrap and don't be taken for a sucker.
