Returning

When it comes to returning the item you bought, should I wait a certain amount of time before doing it? I'm just worried that if I return it something will go wrong and they will want to see a picture of the item or something? They already got my receipt. Should I be OK?

Depends on the guideline on the shop. Some you have to wait 30 minutes then returned it saying you change your mind. Others you have to wait a day, which means returning to that location.

Are you talking about Purchase/Return shops? Because if a shop isn't specifically intended for Purchase/Return, many MSC's don't allow you to return what you've bought while on a shop ~ check your instructions carefully, and if it's not mentioned, clear it with your scheduler first.

I wonder about returning, too. I'm scheduled to do 2 shops tomorrow with the guideline: "You will purchase an item and return it, detailing your interaction in the survey. You may purchase and return the item in the same visit."

I guess I will need to go out to my car, hang out a bit, then go back in and return.
Mialuce, be sure to get a picture of your purchase receipt before you do the return. It's easy to forget that simple step. Don't ask how I know that... winking smiley

It depends on the MSC and the client. Some MSCs state very clearly in their guidelines that you may not return merchandise you have purchased on a shop. Others do not say anything. Of those who do not say anything, some are okay with shoppers returning their purchases and some are not. A good reason to not return a purchase is that, having used the receipt with your report, using the same receipt to return merchandise (and the return usually requires you to fill out paperwork) may get you identified as a shopper. If there is any question in your mind - and, clearly there is a question because you are asking us if you will be OK - call your scheduler and ask. Not knowing the MSC, no one on the forum can definitely tell you if you will be OK. That's a question for the MSC.
Oh, yes! I will need to snap a pic of the receipt before I return the item. Thanks for the reminder smiling smiley
