Oh so many questions!

I just accepted a job from Market Force about gift cards and read through the questions, holy cow!! I don't know how I could possibly remember all these details! There are 66 questions about gift cards!! I don't have a bad memory but I'm thinking its crazy to ask someone to be able to remember not only all these questions AND the answers too?

Make yourself a checklist. Keep your paperwork in the car. After leaving, re-read the assignment requirements before driving away. Market Force reports are among the easiest mystery shopping reports around. They are a good training ground for new mystery shoppers. Thanks for the advice, I think I'll still give it ago. It just seems like such specific answers to so many things.
Ugh..... I did not like that. I felt like I was so obvious, having to stare at the gift cards forever and look up and down at everyone by the registers. And I think I got what they considered a display wrong, ugh, well good thing I can still use the gift card if they don't pay me. Next time (IF!) I'll just snap pictures with my phone.
Some of the larger stores that carry many gift cards are definitely more difficult but then they also do speciality stores (like gas stations, craft stores, clothing stores) that usually have one or two displays and one or two designs. THOSE are super simple!

The first one I did was a drugstore chain but it is worth it for the gift card (in my mind). Today I did a fabric card that had all of one display with two different cards in it and a department store in a dying mall (only had displays at registers). So both were very easy. I have also done gas stations and teen type clothing stores. Both of those only had one display with a few cards too. It's worth it for me for the gift cards I can turn around and use as gifts.

Welcome to Mystery Shopping!

Yes, some guidelines and instructions can be overwhelming. But, the more you mystery shop the more you will realize that some instructions are standard across the board (e.g., hair color of the clerk, time it took to get your appetizer, status of the restroom) and you will not need to commit so much to memory. It will become second nature to you!!

I've done many of these. Start your "observations" before you car is even parked. Get all your outside signage information and then walk in. Take your time, (if you are ordering) so you can get everything required. Even visit the restroom, because the hallway might have gift card signage.

It does get better! smiling smiley
