Will shops offered increase?

I've been with a company since January and have completed about 15-20 successful shops, mostly fast food. I am wondering if/when the types of shops offered will change or increase? Is there any rule of thumb? I don't know if "better" shops just don't exist in my area or if they will offer these to me after I "prove" myself a little more. Any ideas?

vicky,
In order to see more shops and a wider variety of shops you will need a lot more than one company. Most serious shoppers are signed up with 75 or more of the nearly 200 MSCs that are on the list provided below.

Many MSCs have just one client in a given city, so you may never see more local shops with that company. On the otherhand, clients change MSCs quite often, o an MSC that currently has nothing in your area may turn out to have a great new client there 2 months from now.

Thanks! I have signed up with 2 other companies so far and I'm working my way through the list of others. I'm learning the ropes and have more confidence now so I want to branch out. But do companies tend to "reveal" more shops in your area the longer you are with them and complete some successfully?
There are a couple of companies that hold back their plumb assignments for experienced shoppers, but for the most part, what you see already is what there is. To see more opportunities, apply with more companies. Gaining more experience performing shops unfortunately does not mean you will see a higher level of better paying shops. More experience means you will have a better chance to be assigned the shops you apply for but they will likely still be the same shops you are doing now.

In my (short) experience, the more shops you do and the better you get to know the schedulers will not change the quantity of shops you have available to you on the regular job boards on the MSC websites.
However, if schedulers know and trust you, then when they have emergency jobs or special jobs they may reach out to you, or a select few shoppers, before sending mass emails.

Vicky, I agree the major difference that comes with more experience is that you'll get calls for last minute deadline jobs if they know they can depend on you to deliver. I've been shopping since 2009 and I don't think I see any difference on the job boards from what I saw in 2009. A job board is a job board is a job board. The goodies come down on the special deals, and it's going to take a while for that to happen. Keep signing up and don't get impatient.
