New here...few questions and an intro smiling smiley

Hi everyone,

I am new to this mystery shopping gig and I wanted to say hello smiling smiley

I'm a mom of 2 boys (6mo and 8 years) and a full time labor and delivery nurse. I am looking for a fun side job like this.

Couple questions:

1. With all these complanies, which pay out the most to new people to make it worth the time and gas for travel?

I read the basics thread, and I know I will qualify.

2. How much time does one assignment take?

I'm so excited to get started!! smiling smiley

Welcome to the forum. A lot of people have fun with this business, but keep in mind it is work and can be hard work at times.

There isn't a general answer to how long an assignment might take. It varies with the complexity of both the job and the report. Those two components go hand in hand with the pay. One thing to keep in mind as a new shopper, most assignments will take much longer in the beginning. It is normal and as you get used to the requirements and the reports everything will go more quickly.

It will also be up to you how much money is worth your time and your gas. Mystery shopping companies assign fees to jobs based on their needs and what the market will bear. Your travel time and gas are of no concern to them.

It really depends on where you are located and what you would like to do...

I'm still learning 24/7.
For some general companies that are new shopper friendly and nationwide, Market Force, Corporate Research International and Bare International. They offer a variety of assignments so you can find out what works best for you. It is always advisable to look up the companies here and see what others have to say as well.

Hi, aneil, you asked this same question a couple of weeks ago. The only one I know that pays weekly is Corporate Research International. If you are in a hurry for payment, this is the wrong business for you.
