What do MSCs see when paying you via PayPal

Hello Shoppers,

I am in the midst of setting up my PayPal account and it asks for your personal information (obviously). However, I am wondering what personal information the MSCs can see when they pay me via PayPal? Can anyone offer some insight into this? I know you have to provide address and phone number when signing up with companies, but is there anything else? Is PayPal as anonymous as they make it seem? Or is my financial information visible to MSCs. Thanks in advance.

Paypal does not make your financial info availale to the MSCs.

You will be required, in almost all cases, to provide a social security number or EIN to mystery shopping companies. The mystery shopping companies are not able to see financial information that you provide to PayPal when they make PayPal payments to you.

So, when an MSC logs into PayPal to pay me, it will only see my name, address and email address?

I initiated a payment to an MSC and all I see is the company name, amount and status. Not their address or anything else. There is no reason to think they can see more than that when they transfer funds to me.

I believe they just use your email address period. They are not logging into your paypal...they are logging into their paypal and making a payment to a list of email addresses.

No Traveliz is right. They don't even see your paypal page. They open their own paypal page, put your email address and amount in to it and it's all done. You're completely safe.
