Companies can't verify my silver certification.

I took the silver certification in 2005. When I sign up for different companies and try to add it to my profile, I get emails stating, "The MSPA Certification information that you recently submitted was unable to be verified. This is usually due to the email address or the certification code being incorrect. As a result your certification information has been discarded. Please verify your certification info with the MSPA and resubmit the information via your Shopper's Homepage when you have attained the correct information."

Now I recently updated my email with MSPA-NA to a more reliable email box. Why would the email address be an issue if it is consistent with the email address that I'm giving to them? I thought paying for the training for certification was important enough to have under my belt to pay for it. But now I can't use it. Is it worth tracking down some computer glitch.

Thanks in advance,

You know honestly, I don't think being Silver Certified gets you extra jobs or better paying jobs. I've noticed no difference since I've been Silver Certified. Personally, I wouldn't bother but I could be wrong.
The formatting changed and some mystery shop companies give that message. I emailed Amusement Advantage in December about it. They just got back to me and said it should be fixed now. I tried again and it still did not work so emailed them again. Then they did fix it. So it works with at least one company as of now.
I agree. The certs (IMHO) is a way for someone to make bucks off the new people. I have been shopping on and off since the days of mailing the forms n and paper checks. If you can get the job done right the first time, they don't care. Just do a great job. smiling smiley

Thanks for the input. I solved this by going to my profile and changing my email to what it was when I took the certification test. I then put the silver code in and saved it. It accepts it. Then I update the email and save. To clarify, I had a Comcast email when I took the certification. I changed my email to Yahoo because Yahoo remains stable. Even though I updated the email with MSPA it was creating problems with the code being accepted.
