Good Evening Everyone!

I'm brand new to the whole idea of Mystery Shopping and am in love with the idea of it, I've had a taste of movie theatre audits and have actually really enjoyed doing them. I also love the idea the mystery shopping in the retail setting part of it too.

I would love to introduce myself, though I'm really bad at talking about myself. So I'll just say. My name is Amanda, I'm a 35 year-old wife and mother. Wife of (almost) 15 years and mother for almost 19 years (I started REALLY young). My oldest will be 19 in May and my youngest is 13, girl and boy, respectively. I work 30+ hours a week for a non-profit organization as an accounting clerk and love what I do everyday. I'm addicted to Mountain Dew and am hoping to be a non-smoker very soon. I have 4 cats and a dog whose smaller than all 4 of them. I wear my heart on my sleeve and get emotional over the smallest of things, afraid of heights and find that the older I get the bigger baby I am .....

Is that enough!?!?!?

I also have a question and don't have a clue where to post it, so I think I'm going to start out in Merchandising?!?!? If that's wrong I'll be happy to edit or move or whatever it is I'll have to do if someone wants to let me know I'm doing this all wrong. I've never been a member of a forum and have been creeping around here for a couple days trying to get an idea of what I've gotten myself in to and where to start.

I am not sure where to direct you on merchandising but I will give you how I started. I actually started off signing with a few different companies and doing some super small jobs just to get my feet wet. I wanted to be sure I knew what I was getting into. I am a stay at home/homeschool mom so do this p/t and it has all picked up relatively quickly. So, my advice is sign up with a ton of companies with some research and work your way up little by little. Or heck, jump in! The water is warm and most companies I have dealt with have been pretty awesome. Good luck!

I need to get my feet wet! Since I was looking up secret shopping online, the only things that have been emailing me are places where I needed to sign-up & provide a registration fee. I really didn't want to pay for something that I wasn't sure that was legit or not.

lovetoshop68, don't pay anyone money to shop. At the bottom of the page you will find a link to a list of mystery shopping companies. Start signing up with these companies. Most of us are signed up with 100+ companies. After you are accepted as a shopper, you will be able to find jobs on their job boards, and/or they will send you emails when they have something available. Read the first several threads in this section of the forum for general information.
