Today I went to an oil change shop at a brake shop. I called yesterday about making an appointment and I'm told that they don't take them and to just come in. When I arrived there this morning, I'm told it was a 3 hour wait and I could drop off the car. The shop instructions say that you can't drop off the car. I tell him I called yesterday and was told I could bring in the car without an appointment. And he says he is the only person who answers the phone and he would never say that. So I say that I'll wait. He then tells me there are 2 other places close by that I can get an oil change done in 15 minutes and I should take my car there. So I thank him and leave.
I was so flustered, I didn't even get a business card. And to take a picture I'd would have had to cross a very busy street and risked getting hit or be seen the employees at the brake shop. I sent an email to the scheduler about it. But I'm worried that she will think I just flaked.
How do you handle shops that go totaly wrong?
Thanks!
Rhonda
