SCAM!

So I almost got caught up in a scam if it wasn't for this Site. I received a check through certified mail for me to cash it at my bank. From there I was to transfer the money to someone that they gave me the check for but to keep a little bit of it for the assignment. I was to complete a survey on the Western Union outlet that I used to wire the money. I still have been writing emails to who ever saying I will do it but I'm not. He claims he works for Wal-mart and uses a lot of writing errors. I'm so glad I did not cash this check though. Great Site. Very helpful.

Thank you. Yes I'm pretty naive but I'm not stupid and he said he was the manager of Walmart. Lol.

I received a money order and s survey sheet by fed-dex. The assigment was for Sears and Western Union. I was to go to sears and spend $20 and keep what I purchase, and then go to western union and wire most of the money to someone in the Phillipines. I thought this sound a little strange so I tried calling the person, and got through after the 4th try. He stated that his assigments are Wal-mart and Western Union, and ask if I went to the bank to cash the check. I went on the forum and someone stated never cash a check that is sent to you.

You got it. Mystery shopping is real, but you are never paid until after the job. Most assignments are anywhere from $5 to $15. Most purchases are very nominal. The focus being getting a receipt to prove you were there when you said you were and not just for a shopping spreesmiling smiley
