Need quick advice - filling out report now

What would you have done? I assume I won't get paid for this shop, but working on the form now... And is that the right thing to do? Or should I cancel so they have some chance to fill it?

I'll keep this as short as possible:

Did a tan shop last weekend, was well bonused, and it was fairly easy (plus actually kind of enjoyed the tan- go figure)

Got called today my the same msc for same tanning shop, different location. Really nice bonus. I said ok.

Just did it - everything went swimmingly and just like last time, till I tried to buy one tan ( not a 12 month package). They refused to let me without a drivers license. She got on the phone and said she was told it was company policy. I stayed calm and polite , said I really just am not comfortable giving all my info since I've decided not to sign up right now, "but I'really looking forward to trying this.... So please understand". Just got ruder. I had cash in hand, Turned slowly to leave...hoped she would call me back, but no luck. Wow.

The shop instructions made it clear NOT under any circumstances to give real info. I also couldn't find a brochure to grab. Did snap a picture of the outside of the place w my phone as I drove away (very discretely)

What a catch 22 - Help please - advice appreciated.

So, I assume I should just do my form, and take my lumps?

I would report it as it happened, upload the picture you took, and see what happens. You did actually do the shop and you followed the instructions you were given. Be prepared to provide her name or a good description. I think you should file the report and you should be paid.
Thank you AustinMom - that puts the wind back in my sails to at least get this form done, come what may....

Still open to the 'what should I do next time' advice -
Yes, I agree with AustinMom. There is not much you can do in a situation such as that. It is important that the client know that location does not allow single sessions. You have no way of knowing whether the company policy IS to allow single sessions of is to NOT allow single sessions.
Sounds like you did the right thing. Assuming the msc is reasonable, they should understand the situation.
Thank you all. I did the report, and I feel I did it well. Turned it in last night and no calls or emails yet. I'll let you know how it pans out.
I've yet to be turned away although I have had places call corporate to verify on revealed shops. I think you did well. I do not know how I would act in your place but as long as you kept calm, used professional language and were reasonable, I see no issues. The companies WANT to know if their people are being rude and if they DO allow single sessions the company will want to know you were denied and why. Did they have it posted that ID was required with every tan? If not then I do not believe they can claim that. I know ID required must be posted in other situations where they are required such as pool halls for table rentals, the ones in my area have it posted that the renter must leave his or her ID at the desk until the balls and rack are returned. Just an example.
That may be the intent of the shop, to see if they are following the company policy about the ID

I though about that, too, after sleeping on it. But since there was a significant free service (tanning session) promised as part of this shop, That would be a bit misleading and tacky. ( I wasn't dying to get a tan, so as long as I get the agreed upon commission, no harm done).

Or maybe different stores are given different strategies to use, and they are studying effectiveness of harder sell approaches? The one I did 4 days earlier did not mention a drivers license at all, and though it was hard sell it never got unpleasant.

If I had pushed any harder, I would have made a scene. There was already another customer standing there kind of slack-jawed about the whole thing! I had to smile, say thank you, and let it go.
I say you did very well then, to recognize it was getting out of hand and withdraw. If the MSP docks you for it then they must be bonkers.
Just following up on this, in case anyone is interested -

I must say the MSC was great - (and I suspect I'm not the first one this has happened to). I was paid for this shop, and they did not even contact me to clarify anything.

Note to self - don't sweat the small stuff....
