My First Shop is on Friday!

Thanks to you lovely people, I now have TWO SHOPS... not very well-paying shops, but they are both around the same area and can be done around the same time. I'm just excited to actually be doing shops! I'm also very nervous about remembering the times and all of the names, and making sure I get everything right. Any last-minute advice from you who are wiser and more experienced than me? smiling smiley

Remember to breathe. That's hard for first time shoppers to remember.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
lol, thank you guys. I will try to remember to breathe! I'll do my best to relax while still getting all of the info I need.
Breathe?! I knew there was something I kept forgetting...

If you can't use your cell, try thanking the person by name. This helps me remember at least until I get to the car.
I keep a note pad in the car and bring clothespins for each shop I do. Once I finish a shop I make the notes and pin the business card or whatever to that page of notes. When I do a bunch in a day I take a cardboard box with me (I use one of those flat rate boxes from the post office) and just keep putting my finished business into it. At the end of the day I grab the box and carry it right to my computer. No more hunting through my purse or whatever for an elusive receipt, page of notes or whatever I have, it's all in the box.

Cettie, that's a good idea on how to keep it all organized. God knows that's not a natural ability of mine, I have to work at it. smiling smiley
plus while your at the post office picking up the flat rate box, you can do a shop while your there

And if you're really in need of a box to mail, I turn the boxes inside out and with all that colored duct tape I use to mail the package it obliterates the words "priority mail" they stamp on the inside too.

Cettie, if they catch you doing that with flat rate boxes you can get in big trouble. Its on their website that it is illegal. So be careful.
