Scheduler that doesn't communicate?

I've done a couple of shops for a certain company that were smooth as butter. Every time I sent in an email asking a question about my report, it was answered within 10 minutes by the friendliest person ever, who seemed more than happy to answer my questions. It seems they've switched schedulers who hasn't replied to me in almost 24 hours. I did my shop yesterday and sent an email asking for help with the receipt as I couldn't get it to the size it needed to be on their form. When she didn't reply in a couple of hours, my husband helped me out with it and we got it looking a tad more readable, although not perfect. I emailed her again, letting her know that we tweaked it and asking if she could take a look and let me know if it was acceptable. Well, the report is due 24 hours after my shop, which is in an hour and a half. I sent it in already because I don't want it to be late, but I'm worried the receipt isn't readable enough. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that she couldn't be bothered to email me, when the other scheduler was on top of it.

It is the weekend and you do have records of the contact attempts if any of it comes back to bite yousmiling smiley

I would have thought that too, except I've only ever done shops on the weekends and got fast responses from the old scheduler. Just seems pointless to have the "i need help" button on your shop report, if no help is going to come before your shop is due.
Most schedulers are ICs just like us. I know of several who work a lot at night and on weekends. Personally, it is rare for me to work either, preferring more regular business hours. The issue when dealing with one scheduler as opposed to a "help desk" is that scheduler can't be available 24/7. Although I have to admit there are some who certainly seem to besmiling smiley

True, I guess I assumed that since most of their shops are weekend shops, that schedulers would be available at that time. I got used to a weekend worker. Being new doesn't help, since I'm incredibly fickle with my reports and everything has to be done perfectly.
No doubt the new scheduler will appreciate you striving for perfectionsmiling smiley

Jennifer, if you haven't signed up with Corporate Research International, I suggest you do so & download their Pic Resizer application. You can then use it for uploads to any company, not just them. It's very easy to use and I have never had a problem with upload file sizes since I started using it.

Not to be funny, but sometimes, I get lucky in communicating with schedulers during the late hours of the night. Some of the schedulers I've known for years schedule shops around 11PM-2AM sometimes, as opposed to the "autoschedule" functions of computer programs. If you happen to be up one night, send a draft of an email that you've written earlier in the day during the late hours of the night. You may have some success.
why does so many ppl resize pictures and more importantly receipts?

As someone who does hundreds of shops a month, I can say I resize pictures less then 5% of the time.

Set your camera resolution to take pics below the maximum file size they allow. And when taking pics of receipts, put your camera in macro mode, so you can take it close up and it will be clear. No resizing necessary.

One of the reasons, I don't know how to set my camera for all of that. I'm lucky when I accidentally click on the "still" to "movie" button that I know how to change it back to just photos!

But the other reason is because when I review the photos in my PSP, I remember the entire shop, conversations, etc. And, since I've already got the image open, it takes.. maybe 5 seconds to resize it, so I just go ahead and do so, save changes and I'm done.

Keep in mind, these are not for gas station shops. These are various other photo audits that I do. I've not done any gas stations.

I resize all my pics. I know how to reset my camera, but would find myself forgetting to change it back and now that over half of my photos are with my phone there's no way to adjust. With a program that will resize them as a batch the time is darn minimal, I mean it's like two clicks and done. I make up for it by virtually never having to use my scanner anymore and the thing that takes the longest is for the program to actually save the changes to a lot of photos. It doesn't bother me because I can do plenty of other things while that's going on.
