Market Force is a company that grows primarily by buying other companies it would seem. As they acquire another company, in some cases the work is just absorbed into companies already owned and in others there is, at least for a while, treatment of the new company as a separate entity. Thus you have the Purple Portal which used to be Certified Field Associates and the Blue Portal which used to be Shop 'N Chek. The Purple Portal historically did movie theater checks and merchandising. The Blue Portal historically did cell phones and fast foods. For a while there was a Green Portal which did financials, but their work was absorbed into the Blue Portal. The recent acquisition of Tell Us About Us appears to have been absorbed into the Blue Portal. Other companies have been absorbed, but their clients have mostly departed.
The reason we try to identify whether the Blue or Purple portal is being discussed is because there is a very different corporate culture between the two.
