Search a wider distance to as you join new companies

I have been shopping for 8-9 months now and have discovered a way to find out what is available with new mystery shop companies. After you have signed up, when you do your initial search, expand the miles to 99. If you live in a large metropolitan area you may see remote locations of the same companies available in your city that are already taken by other shoppers. This can then move that mystery shop company to your target list.

I do something like that. When I sign on to a new company I look at all the jobs available, then filter to my state, then to my area. That gives me a good idea of the potential.

Absolutely. And as you do this, keep notes of the clients you see and who is shopping them. It is very frustrating to have a new store open in your area and you can't for the life of you remember who shops them. And of course with our ICAs, it is not appropriate to ask other shoppers to reveal that.

I'm a fan of some phone shops and web inquiry shops. Their distance is not so important to me, if the price is fair. My cell has rollovers beyond what I will ever use, and the web is a flat fee. In search of these types of shops, where you never leave home and the reports are reasonable, search the U.S. And be sure to note who shops whom while you're searching!
