MF Purple Portal? Opinions?

Hi!

I have been doing shops for the Blue portal since I started MS a few months ago, they seem to be low paying as I knew they would be, but the reports are super quick and easy and there are always several shops near me that take just a short time to do.

Today, they sent me an email asking me to sign up for the Purple Portal. I searched here in the forum and found a ton of negativity regarding PP.

Anything positive regarding PP?

Free movies sound good to me.

I have been hearing that same negativity about them ever since I started shopping years ago. Most frequent complaints over the years seem to be left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing or has agreed to. Adversarial relationships with shoppers and quick termination if a shopper inquires about missing payments or other issues. Love affairs with the company seem to be of very short duration. I do not work with them.

Yes and there are shops there that I find lucrative as well as pleasant. There are also 10' pole shops. You pick and choose. I do the shops that seem fair or generous to me and leave the rest sitting on the board.

Yes. PP is the old Certified Field Associates that brought their attitude with them. BP is the old Shop 'n Chek whic brought their reporting system and folks with them. SG Marketing was the Green Portal and their schedulers are gone and their remaining work assigned through BP. Another company was partially absorbed and some of their shops went to BP and some stayed with the old group which was then sold and became Customer Impact. Market Force has many faces.

I do work with them since they have assignments close to home or conveniently placed in my routes. Flash is right about some confusion, but it's not unbearable. When I have a question, they've always responded in time. They pay sooner than blue portal, also.

Good to read the feedback regarding Purple Portal. I have been doing shops for Blue portal for several months now and like them just fine. Some of them are low paying, but I've learned which ones to take and which to leave alone.

Was thinking of signing up with PP to get my feet wet with merchandising.

I did the purple portal for a couple of months and it's not worth it. If you don't cancel a shop ahead of time then and you complete shop prior to that then they want pay you and they will block you from login into their website.

Huh?

In my opinion the purple portal doesn't pay nearly enough for what they are asking you to do. Their time estimates are way too low and the work although usually easy requires a lot of face time with managers. This takes a long time since they usually need to be tracked down.

I am very picky when choosing an assignment and run away from the card reset shops faster than an Olympic track star.

I never minded the gift card resets until today. The only ones I've accepted were always close to home. Today's was a nightmare, though. Plus, when I got home, I had a PM from a nearby shopper asking about purple portal. I tried not to sound too negative, but it was still so fresh in my mind. The poor girl got the brunt of my rant and decided the one she was considering would not be for her. But we may get to meet face to face soon which I consider a good outcome.

i only work blue portal, and only when bonused. purple wants too much for too little. blue pays on time and a bonused shop is a reason to get in the car.

Many companies string you along and get their cheap shops done by promises of heaven and streets of gold by you doing this one shop. They are dishonest, not stupid. Cease dealing with them and follow your instincts. If you smell a rat in Denmark, there is probobly a valid reason. Follow your first promptings and flavor it with your mental though process on the issues at hand.

Just my humble view, that a four quarters'll getcha a dollar
