I work the polls! Why on earth would they have the conference on election day? Presidential election!

Actually, the rooms reserved for the conference are very comfortable. I was there last year. In addition, there is a wide variety of food options in various price ranges at the hotel, so you really do not have to venture out if you do not want to. As a conference venue it is exceptionally good value for the prices.

It will be easy to attend the IMSC Las Vegas event on Election, since all voting starts on November 41st.

I am going as well. I got a special price Flamingo hotel and Pam Olmstead found a roommate for me. I will look forward to seeing everyone there.

I will also be there and plan on going in early as I bought a ticket for the Donnie/Marie show. Wales - I look forward to meeting you. I plan on leaving as soon as the conference is over to drive down to Bullhead City to visit an old, dear friend.
I will hang out in the Garden Bar on the evening of 11/5, Saturday. They do not serve food there, but you can buy a pizza, or a slice and take it there to eat and get a beer or a glass of wine. I will wear my "Walesmaven" name tag, assuming I remember to pack it. (Talk about trying to remember name; I need to remember to take mine with me!) I will also be at the reception on the evening of 11/6.

States that do not have in-person early voting have a system for letting folks vote whose business or personal needs mean they will be out of the state on election day. They tend to cal it one of the "valid excuses," for not going on election day. I checked the list of states that do and do not have early in-person voting and all that do not have such an alternative. Some only do mail-in ballots; other set up a few polling locations where you can go, certify that you need to be away on election day, and vote in person.

Yes, this conference attendance is so big that their block of rooms sold out some time ago! However, the IMSC also has a roommate matching offer, so anyone who may want to find a compatible roomie who already booked, go for it!

Well crazily enough, newbie shopper (that would be me) and his wife have decided to jump in with both feet and be there!
I'm even driving (21+ hours...uggh) and will be there on Saturday (hopefully). My wife had a prior commitment and is flying in late Sunday night. We are looking forward to it, knots in our stomach and all!
